Challenge

Baby product brand Skip Hop challenged DFO to increase its monthly organic search revenue by 40% in four months. Additionally, DFO needed to overcome a slow site-loading time, unformatted title tags, and lack of on-page optimization. 

Strategy

DFO conducted a full website audit, analyzing the technical architecture and website content. We performed a keyword analysis to identify proper targets for categories/sub-categories, as well as a competitive analysis of other top-performing baby product eCommerce sites to identify best practices for navigation and layout. We also ensured content was short and long-tail query optimized, and executed a link development strategy to point authority domains to the homepage, category, and product pages, as appropriate. 

Results

In the four months after our work started, monthly organic traffic grew by 33K visits, a 30% increase. In that same timeframe, monthly organic search revenue grew by $42K, an increase of approximately 70%.
